Singapore cloud accounting editorial
About Grazmiel and Our Editorial Approach
Grazmiel exists because Singapore business owners get handed too much generic accounting advice and not enough that reflects local reality. We research cloud accounting software against the things that actually matter here.

What Grazmiel is
A Singapore-focused editorial resource on cloud accounting software, written for businesses rather than for software vendors.

Grazmiel is a Singapore-focused editorial resource on cloud accounting software. We publish comparisons, platform reviews, compliance explainers, and setup guidance for businesses at different stages, from a newly registered company to a firm outgrowing basic bookkeeping.
We are not an accounting firm and we do not sell software. Our output is information you can act on, or hand to your accountant as a starting point. That distinction matters when you are weighing a subscription: the person recommending a platform should not be the person collecting the commission on it.
How we research platforms
Our method starts with the vendor's own Singapore-facing documentation. What follows is the order we work in, and what we do with each claim before it reaches a review.
Read the vendor's Singapore documentation first
When Xero states it connects with DBS, OCBC, and UOB, we note that as a vendor claim and then check what it means in practice for reconciliation — how often feeds refresh, how matching rules behave, and what a bank statement gap looks like at month end.
Test InvoiceNow and e-invoicing claims in both directions
When a platform highlights InvoiceNow or Peppol support, we look at whether that support covers sending and receiving, or only one direction. A tool that issues invoices but cannot ingest incoming ones leaves you running a bridge step every month.
Score every platform on the same criteria
We compare platforms on the same criteria so the reviews line up rather than drift. Local bank integration, e-invoicing, GST handling and the growth path carry the most weight; generic feature lists come last.
Leave out what we cannot verify
We treat vendor statements as claims, not facts, and we say so in the write-up. Where we cannot verify something, we leave it out rather than soften the wording until it sounds true.

Why Singapore specifics matter
A cloud accounting review written for a US audience will not tell you whether GST returns reconcile cleanly or whether InvoiceNow documents flow without a bridge tool.
Singapore's compliance workflows have their own shape, and the platform checklist differs from other markets. We weight local bank integration, e-invoicing, and GST handling heavily because those are the tasks you repeat every month.
These four tasks are the ones we check first on every platform we write about. A tool that handles all four without a manual workaround saves more time than a longer feature list suggests.
How we handle vendor claims
If a platform says it supports multi-currency, we describe what that means for a Singapore company trading across borders — not what the marketing page says it means.
If it positions itself for mid-market finance operations, as Oracle NetSuite does with its accounting and reporting modules, we explain the business profile that fits rather than repeating the marketing line.
Vendor statements are claims, not facts — we write them as claims.
No ranking is for sale, no rating is invented, and no user count appears on this site unless the vendor publishes it and we can point to the source.
Who our guidance is for
Our readers run service firms, ecommerce operations, logistics companies, and professional practices. We write for both ends of that range and mark clearly when advice applies only to one group.
Send a correction or questionFirst books, first choices
You are registering a company for the first time and want to know how setup decisions affect your books. Chart of accounts, GST registration timing and bank feed naming all decide how much cleaning up you do in year two.
Moving off spreadsheets
You have been trading for years and are weighing whether to move off spreadsheets or upgrade from a lightweight tool. Migration order, opening balances and the first GST cycle are the parts that go wrong.
If your situation sits between the two — a growing firm with a part-time bookkeeper, for example — the choosing guide walks through business size, industry, banking setup and growth plans in order, so you can see where you land before comparing features.
What we do not do
If you need someone to handle incorporation, bookkeeping, or tax filings directly, firms such as InCorp Global provide corporate services and ongoing support, and your own accountant remains the right person for decisions about your specific situation.
What we can do is shorten the research: point you at the platforms worth a demo, flag the local integration questions to ask on the call, and explain what a change of system costs in time before you commit.
Corrections and feedback
Platforms change their features, pricing, and integrations, sometimes without much notice. If you spot something on Grazmiel that no longer matches what a vendor offers, tell us through the contact form. We would rather correct a page than leave a stale detail standing. The same form works for questions about our methodology.
